Some of the elements of the group have begun this work more recently, placing the oldest ones as catalysts of a certain audacity, daring the youngest to risk a little more.

In a way, the presence of a heterogeneous group in terms of experience has inspired us to create moments of dynamic interaction between the different emotional environments, characteristic of the various stages of psychological development. This dynamic marked the entire group process by an inward journey to more precocious moments and back to more current states, achieving a rhythmic pulsation (contraction expansion) that allowed truly quantum leaps in the individual processes of each.

We have worked on the main aspects of human development, trying to fill in the gaps in socialization and openness to others, making our students better able to leave the comfort zones of the old references and venture into the world.

Communication is the central theme of Inside Out. The opening of the eyes, driven by curiosity and gregarious instinct, is the invisible thread that transports them from their navel to multiple creative encounters. The contained movements circumscribed to a small space give room for expansion through a daring and more complex corporality.

This site-specific play comprises inside-out alternating cycles. The fear of the unknown is experienced as a time for nourishment, serving as a safe foundation for the courage to advance a little further.

The scenic space is characterized by an area representing the reassuring and familiar environment and another - the closest to the public- representing the exit beyond the comfort zone, where the unexpected may happen. Both the interpreters and the public will have the opportunity to create something that transcends what is familiar and known. Two striking moments start the call for boldness. This psychological quality allows the deconstruction of the habitual registers, the multiplication of gestures and the complexity of languages in a constant challenge of the capacity to create new connections.

In a crescendo of authentic affirmation before the eyes of others, the Voice appears as the top expansion note of self-confidence, in which the audience may also participate.

The improvised music of Mário Teixeira influences and is influenced by the unrepeatable movements of the interpreters, immersed in their processes of transformation, translating the perfect symbiosis generated by the state of creative flow.

It is with immense joy that we risk bringing to the street the courage to embrace vulnerability as a reserve of strength, confidence and creativity in the magical and historical Vila de Sintra.
